This project class is designed to increase the knowledge of youth through the implementation of quality health and sex education program. A health education curriculum is taught to students with the ultimate goal of having students become educators themselves by facilitating health education classes to other students in the school community. Subsequent to instruction, all “ educators” will develop and exhibit the commitment to healthy active living education philosophy by: Delivering programs that reflect curriculum; Providing authentic and relevant assessment; Providing a variety of teaching and learning strategies; and by being a role model to other students. All students will develop and exhibit the commitment to be physically active and make healthy lifestyle choices.
