This
agreement is between The Stadium School (TSS) and the parent(s) / guardian(s)
of the student who will be attending TSS this up-coming school year. This agreement is based on TSS’s
professional learning community standards of good attendance, educational
priorities, and self-discipline. Since
our inception in 1994, these precepts have been the foundation of TSS’s vision,
mission and goals.
Please
note, TSS accepts students and their parents into our learning community when
there is a unified partnership toward achieving the common goal of providing
the best educational service to every student.
In order for this partnership to continue and grow students and parents
requested to do the following:
Ø
Students should come to school on a regular bases and be on time, as outlined
in the Attendance Guideline sheet.
Ø
Students should view their education and academics as the first reason to come
to and be in school.
Ø
Students and parents are responsible for their actions that affect the
community in negative ways, e.g., multiple fights, disruptions, harassment,
vandalism, disrespect to adults and/or peers.
Ø
Parents should communicate with teachers on weekly basis using the
communication log.
Ø
Parents should contribute talents and/or time to TSS by volunteering 20 hour
per year.
The
decision to administratively transfer a student to his or her zone school is
the right of The Stadium School, however, this right will only be exercised
when a student and/or parent does not adhere to the philosophy of community and
the precepts bulleted above.
Finally,
any decision to administratively transfer a student is not an easy one, but is
one solely based on providing a safe and secure school, while moving all
students to meet and/or exceed TSS/BCPSS/MSDE standards.
Your
signature below indicates that you and your child understand the commitments
that are necessary to ensure that TSS is a safe and secure school and that its
administration will continue to support the right of all students to learn with
unnecessary distractions.
